Description
The dolphins swim amongst the coral, fish and turtle of the Great Barrier Reef. Coconut trees in the background remind me of the tropics. Dolphins are mammals closely related to whales and porpoises. They are found worldwide in the shallower seas of the continental shelves and eat mostly fish and squid. Dolphins and whales are iconic to the Great Barrier Reef; around 30 species of whale and dolphin are found in the Great
Barrier Reef World Heritage Area. Bottlenose dolphins, dwarf minke whales and humpback whales are among the most commonly sighted.
