A brilliant blue starfish dances with abandon. Sunlight streams through the bright red background and shades of green plant life. The coral moves with the flow of the water as little fish swim nearby. I love snorkelling on the reef, swimming with the fish amongst all the brightly coloured hues of the coral.

Most starfish have five arms but they can have up to fifty. The starfish uses water to propel itself and many little “legs” with suction caps to move along so the starfish appears to float or glide across the surface of the water. They eat clams, fish, molluscs, small fish, coral and algae. Amazingly, the starfish breathes through its feet.
